Sharing on Google+

For my previous post, I just checked the box “Also send email to Your circles” when I shared to to my Google+ page to see what happens. Almost immediately got an email reply and a +1.

Google+ should give me feedback on open rates for that since I bet it’s better than merely sharing with my circles in the main feed. Not that I’m going to do it constantly, but it’s nice to know there’s an option to amp something I’m sharing if I think it’s important for a specific circle of people.

I’m in a number of LinkedIn groups that send daily digests with relevant links and stories. The problem, as always, is a matter of time management - I simply can’t keep up with the amount of content I wish I could read.  LinkedIn wisely monitors how often I click through on their emails and automatically switched my digest subscription for TED from daily to weekly with the option of switching back. Well played, LinkedIn. They also suggested some other groups to join and seeing as I irrationally believe I can possibly read more, I joined two!
